Our human existence is a unique opportunity to perfect ourselves over the course of seven lifetimes. If we neglect our spiritual journey, we may not have another chance at human life after those seven cycles. This principle is rooted in the teachings of the Supreme Lord, as emphasized by the great Madhavacharya.
Many people mistakenly believe that the goal of material life is simply to eat, sleep, reproduce, and defend - behaviors that are more animalistic than human. The pursuit of these four pleasures often leads us to think that a life filled with uninterrupted enjoyment is a perfection of human life.
